A bin of spare pencils is always handy. I like the stubby “golf pencil” variety. Problem – They always seem to fall down horizontally into whatever container I use. Being that they are so short makes this even more of a problem. I’ve tried a few solutions but this one does look promising. I cut a bunch of those jumbo smoothie straws into two inch lengths and arranged in my pencil holder. Think honeybee comb like my pvc pipe pencil holder project from an earlier post. This hack also works on other shapes of desktop pencil holders or can upgrade that coffee mug you use for pens and highlighters.
